A Gift For You...
A man lay on his bed at the end of his life waiting to die.

The dream was softer now, because it knew that there were two types of pain,
the pain of discipline and the pain of regret,

Then the dream leant forward to gently wipe away the tear and said,

for the only thing that ever separated us

WHY ATTEND ANY OF THESE EVENTS?
I've met many people who have prospered in the last boom we've had since the last 1990 recession through today and if they continue believing the good times are here to stay they will likely lose a lot of what they have gained if they don't protect themselves now.
Inflation is raging on a global basis. The chart to your left shows money growth, in 25 economic areas, all at astronomic levels, all of which will translate into continued inflation which is a tax on you as your currency value continues to depreciate while your wages stay relatively the same.
Money growth is running at 12% and 16% in Canada and the United States respectively. The U.S. government last week (July 2008) put out inflations statistics at 5%. Do you believe their stats or is there a cover-up that is going to cost you and your family your quality of life?
Could you imagine inflation hitting 2.2 million%? Well, it could happen if our governments continue to print money rather than address the fundamental problems facing the global economy.
Could it be possible that we’ve actually been in a Giant Bear Market * since the Year 2000 but we actually haven’t seen it?

The Dow today in 2008 buys:
· 77% less oil than it did in 2000 (105 barrels versus 462)
· 65% less gold (14 oz versus 41 oz)
· 74% less copper
· 23% less of the U.S. median single family home price

The fact is that most North Americans will retire with a few pennies and perhaps a less than adequate pension after making 2 million dollars in their lifetime. In fact the statistics at age 65 are scary. At age 65 this is what most people retire to:
- 22% must continue to work past age 65
- 28% rely on welfare or social security
- 45% depend on their family to live and exist
- 4% meet the basic needs of life (food and shelter)
- 1% are truly financially independent
Of the people who are financially independent the most common reason they expressed to help them "make it" was starting early and having a plan. They created a blueprint for success.
